[hpsdr] Fwd: CWSL Tee with Hermes

It found the correct Hermes. It may not be a bad enhancement to make if it
doesn't add too much complexity and take too long. If they were both idle,
it may be pot luck as to which skimmer gets which Hermes card. 

 

A use case to consider: I have two more to add (for a total of total of 4)
and if I'm running 2 and 2 are idle and I want to add the Tee on one antenna
for WSPR and on a different antenna for PSK, I'm going to have to turn one
off load the other, turn the previous one on and load it. Bump that number
up to a hive of Hermes and well it gets complicated. 

 

This is fun stuff...

  It's going to attach to the board that responds first to the discovery
packet.  There is a chance that the second idle SDR will respond faster and
you'll be able to create a Hermes skimmer farm.  It's worth a try :)  

 

 

Not sure how to do the manual IP selection but I can change the interface to
ignore the non-idle boards.  That should allow you to launch multiple copies
of the skimmer server, and each will pick the next free SDR.  That would be
a quick change...

I have a 2nd Hermes board arriving tomorrow. Do you know if the 2nd instance
of CW Skimmer is going find the 2nd Hermes card or is it going to try to
glom onto the 1st Hermes instance? I didn't see anywhere in the skimmer
server config to configure it to look for a specific IP address.
