I run Atlas, Penelope, Mercury, Metis, Excalibur and Alex all on LPU w/o any problems.

I have 5 Atlas/Mercury/Penny/Metis combinations, each powered by its own LPU, that I have been running since the units were first released, with no problems. A couple of the units also have Excalibur added. On contest weekends, the units run continuously all weekend with no downtime.
So I am surprised to hear that the LPU will not support this combination; if this is true, I would have expected to have seen a problem before now given my experience of many units with many, many hours of operation.

You need only +5 and +12 volt power supplies for Metis, Mercury, (and Penny / PennyLane). They may be connected either to the ATX 20 pin connector or to the 6 pin J20 connector.
The LPU does not have sufficient power to run these boards.

Dear Mates,
I have Atlas board + Metis+ Mercury+ LPU. Unfortunately my LPU capacitor blew up on the first power up. I missed out the Is there any other way of powering up the Atlas board???
Unfortunately due to non-availability of power supply I have not been able to check the Atlas board either. Is there a way of testing the board ??
Please share your experiences.
