[hpsdr] HPSDR 1. SDR generation?

Hi Guys,

it's really amusing how Flex Radio Systems  or their European Rep classifies
in an 'independent' report about Hamradio , Friedrichshafen the current SDR
scene:
First Generation:  Hardware minimized concepts, I/Q-controlled by PC via
soundcard or DDC/DUC with LAN interface (i.e. HPSDR, N2ADR, SunSDR2 )
Second Generation:  Stand-alone concepts like the Swiss ADT-200A or German
Reuter RDR-54/50
Third Generation: DSP implemented into the hardware, minimized data transfer
hardware/PC (ie. Flex 6000 serie).
Such wrong and overbearing definitions let insiders pitifully smile, but can
severely confuse a lot of potential buyers.
