Hi,

Phase noise of LMX2541 is not significantly better than that of MAX2870,
Phil mentioned. These devices are developed for broadband wireless
application and not our one. These levels of phase noise make ‘weak signal
operation’ impossible in the presence of strong signals in adjacent
channels.

Guys,
Monday or Tuesday?I got an email of one of the on line magazines there was a
synthesizer chip 50 to 2700 MHz with phase noise better than -200dB/Hz.?I
don't remember the part number or source but I'm sure it will show up in all
the usual rags this month.
The price was cheap maybe $11 in small quantities. Sorry I deleted it but it
was impressive. It has an internal VCO but it can be disabled. Frank WA1GFZ
