Last night I was working a VA3 using the HiQSDR and received a report
of distorted audio which was caused by having the mixer Mic slider set
at maximum. I had switched PC's and not remembered to check mixer settings.
When it was reduced the problem ceased.

The guy asked me straight off I was using "one of those Indian SDR rigs"
and said he had come across several instances of distortion sound from
them (I took it to mean the openHPSDR family).
The statement took me totally by surprise.

I wonder how many people are taking care to ensure their mixer settings
are not causing distorted sound to be transmitted and hence giving a
false impression of openHPSDR.
