[hpsdr] Munin total current??

Hi George,
I used a signal generator to drive my Munin. The output of Munin was
fed to a 30 dB attenuator and the voltage was measured with a Boonton
91C millivoltmeter. Total current to Munin was indirectly measured
using a 100mA/10 A current shunt and an old Fairchild 7000
DVM. Unfortunately, I do not know the accuracy of my test equipment.
The total current to Munin was measured at 50, 60, 70, and 80 Watts
output. This was done for the amateur bands at 100 kHz intervals,
up to 50.2 mHz.
The voltage at J3-1 was measured, but some of the readings did not
make sense on the higher frequencies. Later, some checks were made
and it was discovered the was AC voltage on this line at higher power
levels. This may or may not be RF voltage. I measured it with an
HP-3400A (rated to only 10 mHz). Changing the position of the wires
to J3 reduced it from 0.5 Volts to about 100 mV or so.
On six meters the total Munin current was measured to be a little
over 20 Amperes (for 80 Watts output measured on my test setup).
My Munin has the modification to C25, 26,and 27.
You mentioned your Munin went up to about 18 Amps when playing
around. How were you able to reduce the current?
