[hpsdr] BB Beam Steering

Happy Spring,
I was listening on 10 meters and and locals on 75 with Hermes the other day and it got me thinking about broadband beam steering. I have a couple different antennas I use for beam steering with a couple Mercury boards. Since the phase delay is based on the antenna spacing X COS of the arrival angle (ref. Dallas Lankford) would it be easier to select the phasing in time rather than in degrees so it would apply for multiple bands?
