Not related to the software discussed here, but this group has the smarts to give an opinion here.

I'm just getting stuff up for 630M (472 KHz) WG2XUX

Have a great low noise remote site 15 miles away line of sight.

Wondering if it is possible to stick a AD7763 up there. Use a selected clock rate and the 3 on-board decimation/filters to output an appropriate BW (from Table 6 of the data sheet: 12.288 MHz clock, 19.2 KHz passband, 48 KHz data rate for example). Use the serial output right into a UHF link to the shack for processing. The AD7763 has permissible clock rates from 20 MHz down and a wide range of decimation ratios available as well as a programmable FIR filter so some selection should be possible. Of course I would have to match the data RX at home to whatever came out from the selection.

Low cost. I could run on a solar charged battery. Sun at day, no signals. No Sun at night, no charger noise. If lightning arose,, someone stole it, or more likely shot at it, no major loss.

Comments? Thanks, N0UU
