Sid and others,

Yes; the discussed error has nothing to do with the patch which was a
simple fixup to the error of getting a netmask in a way that worked on
both linux and os x. I am glad to hear that it did test OK on Linux.
Thank you Sid for letting us know.

Regarding the discussion of UI porting, I only mentioned Xamarin.Forms
in relation to the mobile platforms. I agree that there may be a
license issue. Even if Xamarin.Forms is license compatible, the
development tools must be licensed for its use which would be a
burden. Of course GTK# would be a good choice for a single cross
platform desktop UI. But if someone is going to go through the trouble
to do a new UI it probably makes sense to abstract it in a way that it
would be very easy to build native/other UIs (including keeping
Windows.Forms) on top of the core code.
