The following is a short summary on last Sunday's ANAN-NET, which meets
on 14.340 Mhz on Sundays at 1830Z. This pertains to the NAN-NET that met
on Sunday, January 4, 2015. (This net meets at 12:30 PM local Minnesota
time.)

Here are some notes from last Sunday’s session; Keep in mind my limited
abilities, poor penmanship, which results in errors in my so-called
“notes” and so on.
K1VT (Jack) checked in as the first participant; He was running his
ANAN-200D into a TokyoHighPower amp that was giving him 700 watts.
W3DRK (Dieter) was running his ANAN-100D into a home-brew amp that was
giving him 500 watts.
N1EU (Barry) of Albany, New York was running a BORROWED ANAN-200! He was
running about 1500 watts into a StepIR.
KI6UM (Lou) near Sacramento had his usual great signal from his ANAN-100
and KPA-500 amplifier. He is looking for a used ANAN-100 or 100D for a
friend.
XE3/K5ENS (Keith) was running his ANAN-100 from 85 degree weather!!
(VERY nice..!) He was running 85 watts into a 3-element beam, and had a
tremendous signal to me from his coveted location!
KC9XG (Bill) is located SW of Chicago, and had a very good signal to me
with his ANAN-100D. He was a LOT stronger than what would seem “normal,”
as he is “too close” to me for 20 meters to predictably work. He was
feeding a HEX-BEAM.
N1JEZ (Mike) made more tests with his exciting new technology, CESSB.
(Controlled Envelope SSB.) He was heard and understood by FM5GB with the
CESSB enabled, but was far too deep into the noise, if Mike had the
CESSB turned off. This means that it is achieving the mission of the
CESSB project, to make those too-weak signals READABLE! Great
demonstration, Mike! Special THANK YOU to Warren (N1RV) for his superior
work on this as well as his PureSignal app!!!
W9AD (Dave) checked in from his home near Chicago! Again, he is simply
“too close” to allow a logical path to me, but there he was again, this
time with the best signal that I have ever been able to achieve from his
location. Dave was running his ANAN-200D, assumedly with an amplifier.
FM5GB (Phil)was in Martinique, running his ANAN-200D with a 400 watt
amplifier. He also was being helped by his eight-element LP beam. (!!)
He was hearing N1JEZ and W3DRK well, but no one else. (I cannot recall,
but I am assuming that he was not hearing me, either.)
KK4FMH (Bobby) checked in with his TS-2000 from North Carolina, on his
160 meter fan-dipole.
W0IQ (Dan) is at Stevenson, Washington state. His HPSDR system of an
ATLAS motherboard, MERCURY, PENNYLANE, etc. system was not the most
powerful system, but nonetheless, he was being heard nicely by a lot of
the net participants.
K5WAZ (Justin) of Cloud Cross, New Mexico had his usual COMMANDING
signal from his ANAN-200D into his 75 meter loop antenna; He is also
using a vertical as his diversity receive antenna.
KF6ZOL was in there, but very weak, with no offers of a relay. (Better
luck next time, OK?)
KB4WM (John) was running a Ten-Tec EAGLE, but is in the market for an
ANAN-100!
That's about it for my so-called "notes" of last week's ANAN-NET; -Do
drop in at 1830Z on 14.340 Mhz each Sunday! Talk to us, don't just
listen, please!
—
I am in South-Eastern Minnesota, and am running an ANAN-100 into an
Ameritron ALS-600 (500 watts) and LDG AT-1000ProII that is feeding my 75
meter loop at 40 feet height.
—
There is another net that begins at 2000Z on 14.340 Mhz, so let’s TRY to
keep this in mind, so that we can have things cleaned up/wrapped up on
the ANAN-NET in time to clear the frequency.

To view and hear what I see and hear, plus get any possible updates or
comments, look at the chat-window portion of my LIVESTREAM streaming web
link. With the Livestream web site, one can see and hear what I see and
hear from my ham station, which is South-East Minnesota. My Livestream
link is as follows:
livestream.com/k0jta My Livestream is NOT normally on-line, I will add;
-I only run it for nets or special requests.
Hopefully, the CESSB plan will be released as an incremental upgrade to
our present PowerSDR application! -MAybe even the CuSDR app..???
