John,

Your message is fine on the web archive as well. It is a properly
formatted MIME multipart/alternative and the list software is
correctly prepending and appending header and footer in inline MIME
blocks.

The irony is that both messages in question have a perfectly readable
text/plain block that is simple 7 bit clean ASCII.
