20:05:48> *** You are now talking in channel: "OpenHPSDR"
21:04:31> "Bill - KD5TFD": What's a denormalized #?
21:04:57> "Bill - KD5TFD": Showing my ignorance ...
21:06:11> "Greg ZL3IX": Does anyone know how to defeat the
out-of-band check on PSDR? I tried to Tx on 18.165 SSB last
week, to get away from the FT4 pileup, and it wouldn't let me
Tx. 18.164 SSB was OK, or 165 CW. It seems a little
conservative to me.
21:07:08> "Phil-VK6PH": Select 'Extended' for Region
21:08:07> "Greg ZL3IX": Thanks for that, Phil. Where is Region,
somewhere in the setup?
21:08:17> "Greg ZL3IX": i don't have the radio turned on right now
21:08:46> "Phil-VK6PH": On Setup | General | Hardware Config
21:08:52> "Greg ZL3IX": Thanks
21:12:19> "Greg ZL3IX": Rick, I hrd your comment on 160m. I
haven't managed either of the expeditions yet, in spite of being
relatively close to VK0. Problem is that our path is sub-antarctic.
21:14:07> "Rick ve3mm": OK Greg, another ham about 5km from me
has worked both the VK0 and FT4. I was there both times, but
didn't here them well enough to work them. Higher rx noise
level here I suppose. Bummer!
21:15:49> "Rick ve3mm": A few of my neighbours around the corner
have recently installed solar panel installations and I am
wondering if they are contributing to my noise issue. However,
solar panels do not generate power when 160m is open.
21:15:51> "Greg ZL3IX": We have an area of very high electron
gyro freq in the S Tasman Sea, to the SW of ZL. It really makes
life difficult in that direction
21:17:14> "Rick ve3mm": Well it looks like we both have our
issues. Hoping for a spot light prop opening to happen! Its
happened for me before. Fingers crossed. Good luck to you!
21:17:49> "Greg ZL3IX": Thanks, same to you. Running out of
time tho......!
21:18:49> "Greg ZL3IX": 73 all
21:18:59> "Dave - KV0S": 73 Greg
21:19:32> "Rick ve3mm": 73 fellows
21:27:54> "Bill - KD5TFD":
