[hpsdr] Level calculation error in Two Tone Test generation routine

It seems to be a never ending story: PEP output power means the effective
power at the top of the envelope. If only 1 tone is applied to the amp, PEP
= CW and a proper method to determine the transfer characteristic of an amp.
For correct operation the user should know the important markers like 1dB
compression point or 3 dB saturation (except you’re using PS, hi)
For multi-tone drive is valid: PEP = 1/RL (U1eff + U2eff +
.+Uneff)*2
This means for IM check: 2 tone : each carrier 6dB down; 3 tone each carrier
9,5 dB down. BTW you can measure the correct adjustment on your panadapter
comparing ‘tune signal’ and 2 tone signal at the same drive position. The
two test carriers are 6 dB down and fully complying with the A2204B or even
EIA standard for IM determination.
