[hpsdr] Hermes 2 design

Dom,

Using two different Hermes boards, I never had issues with spurs caused by SMPS.

I suppose that you employ a 144/28 MHz transverter, so that you should see the mentioned spurs also on the IF band 28 Mhz. Maybe you are catching interference due to wiring of the amp/filter board at the ANAN 10 and/or XVTR.

Nevertheless as far I know advanced SMPSs with new technology will be provided at the new Hermes II layout.

Hello ,

I am interested in the Hermes 2 design.

I am actualy using an ANAN 10 , which is basicaly using an Hermes 1 board. There is annoying issues occuring with the switching PSUs built in on the board.

1) The psu is generating drifting birdies and these birdies are seriously QRMing on 144Mhz.

2° the psu is dirty and generates spuriis on the tx signal.

Maybe more filtering is needed .
