You can build pihpsdr for a PC (x86) target or a Raspberry pi target. The
make file lets you choose either one.

It is compiled natively on the Raspberry pi. It only takes a few minutes. It
would be theoretically possible to load the ARM compilers onto the PC and
cross-compile it for the Raspberry pi from the PC, but I'm not sure what the
benefit would be.
