Official install instructions, and build instructions, too, are located
here:

Right now John has stopped posting his ongoing work to that repository. He
is only posting released code. However that should be adequate for anyone
who wants to get into the code and play or contribute.

I couldnbt find anything on John's github.com page relevant to installation,
but found this:

which is a complete installation guide. I had pihpsdr up and running on a Pi
3 in no time after that.
