[hpsdr] Syncing a transceiver directly to piHPSDR

Hi,This may sound like an odd thing to do but does anybody have any ideas as to how I might sync a transceiver with a serial cat port directly to a Raspberry pi running piHPSDR, itself connected to a Hermes board without any other pc involved? Basically to use the SDR as a receiver/panadapter following the frequency of the transceiver and vice versa.
