Al, please note that your ANAN 100B employs a 14 Bit version of Hermes with smaller FPGA and NOT the standard 16 Bit Hermes. For the 14 Bit version you can't use the v.3.3 firmware. Current firmware for the 'small' Hermes is v.1.5.
... again: Both tools, HPSDR programmer and HPSDR bootloader (WinPCap 4.1.3 installed on the machine) work here without any issue to go forth and back with the different firmware versions. For the 'small' Hermes or protocol 2 firmware only the bootloader can be used.

FWIW, the v3.3 firmware also does not work (seems to bootload but does not respond to OpenHPSDR program) with the ANAN-100B, whose main board is Hermes (I think). Maybe the smaller than standard EEPROM and FPGA is the problem.

After a v3.3 upload, the bootloader still recognizes the 100B board so your previous 100B firmware can be reloaded with no apparent harm done.

Don’t know the difference between the v3.3 and 100B firmware v1.5. If anyone knows, would be nice to have such info.
