Hi Glen,

seems that you are still rather impatient as a young dynamic boy, hi. DFC is the newer SDR- architecture, worth to be discussed a bit longer than Hermes II.
Some more remarks:
1.	Don’t forget the ‘hidden’ RXs, currently used for the great feature ‘Pure Signal’
2.	undersampling is an effective and cost-saving method to cover VHF frequencies. Ultra-fast ADCs like AD9689 with a 3dB- bandwith up to 9 GHz are available, but cost USD 1200.—
3.	May be a 30% free room in the Hermes FW was correct in the past. Meanwhile CW and ‘envelope –PWM-converter’ for EER/ET took some space.
4.	The mentioned connectivity of lcd, mouse etc. can’t be provided from the board without appropriate process power.
5.	You will find a 16 bit DAC in your 7000DLE! That is more than necessary for a clean TX signal.
In every case I’ll wish you great fun and good dxing with the new 7000DLE. Perhaps you will report about your experience together with the transverters.

73, Helmut, DC6NY
