Hi and HNY Jim,

a LPF/BPF, which can't withstand a SWR of 2 or 3 seems a bad design for me, hi. Sufficient dielectric strength of the capacitors should be provided.

One counter-argument: What about the components in the low/band pass filtering?

I ask, because I have repaired several bandpass filters for our club that were blown up running 100 watts into an antenna with high (2 or 3 SWR). We have been pounding on guys to put the filter BETWEEN the radio and the antenna . . .

73, Good luck, & Happy New Year!

Jim
