[hpsdr] CW on Thetis with an external app?

I've been trying to get N1MM to send CW on Thetis with no luck.

It will key the radio - but no joy on actual CW.

It occurred to me that this might be due to the CW functionality being
moved over to the FPGA. Is that why this doesn't work?

It would sure be nice if there was a way to key the CW system through the
SDR software TOO.

Is this just simply an impossibility?
