[hpsdr] Need Help Recovering Apache ANAN-10

Hi all, I am new to this list. I have a fairly early ANAN-10. I moved a
couple of years ago and this radio sat in a box until last week. I had the
transceiver working fine with my laptop (lots of signals, RF out on TX) and
was reading some instructions on the web that said that if I had a certain
ip, the transceiver was not set up correctly. So I tried to force the ip
via the Power SDR menu and suddenly the mac address disappeared and I
cannot seem to restore communication between the transceiver and the
computer. The ethernet lights on the radio appear to be working. If the
radio just changed ip's to something else, I am not able to figure out what
that new ip is.

The radio is connected by cable to the ethernet port of the laptop. I
presume that the radio is supposed to be providing the dhcp function and
handing an ip to the computer (as if the computer was on a LAN).

Are there any instructions to get me out of this predicament. Probably the
firmware needs to be updated too but right now I have no way of determining
what firmware versions are installed.

Thanks for any help.
