I got an email from Jean Labrosse himself to say:<br>

"You can use uC/OS-II for free for non commercial use."<br>

My scheduled download of the Nios II Embedded Design Suite last night
broke, so I don't know yet whether that download version includes
uC/OS-II. I'll try again tonight...and ask Altera to put it back in the
Nios II EDS that comes with the Cyclone II Starter Kit.<br>

Hi Lyle
That was the impression I had, but when I asked the question on the
Micrium web page that comes up when you ask about pricing, the local
(Australian) distributer who called back was quite contemptuous of the
idea. I've only just stumbled on the uC/OS-II licensing page, which is a
bit ambiguous when it refers to accredited educational institutions then
refers merely to educational use. I'll try the mailto link there.
If it's no cost for non-commercial use then I don't understand why
Altera removed it from the Nios II Embedded Design Suite version that
comes with the Cyclone II Starter Kit.

<pre wrap="">uC/OS-II is availble from the author's website. It appears to be at
no cost for non-commercial use.
