I'm not sure of the problem you are having with Vista, but I believe it is possibly the result of an unregistered driver. Vista requires drivers to be registered, or else you can during boot up hit F8 (the same method you would use to boot up in the Safe Mode) and there will be a selection allowing you to boot up without requiring registration of the drivers. Make this selection during boot up and possibly you will be able to boot up and use the USBIO driver with Vista. The hitch to this is that you will have to remember to boot up this way every time you boot up --- a good reason to allow the computer to hibernate and not boot it up more often than required.<br>

I'm trying to resurrect my station after a couple of years or so of neglect. I'm trying to take it one step at a time. I have an SDR-1000 and need to use the USB-parallel adapter to run it. [I will get to running it with Ozy, but one thing at a time.] I have meanwhile moved from Windows XP to Vista 32-bit. The USBIO driver is not being recognized by Vista. Is there any solution or do I have to revert to XP to get things going? Thanks.<br>

P.S. - After my first try at sending this, I've set up my computer to double boot Vista and XP. USBIO works for me under XP, but not Vista. Anybody ever have a different result? My brain is getting too squishy to want to deal with two operating systems at once.<br>
