</div>In GNURadio, we are implementing Vita 49 and using UDP/IP so we can get routing, switching and more. This will be available in the USRP2. So there will verilog implementing it and c++ for the host as well.<br>

Flex has already implemented VITA 49 in the 32 rx. CDRX 3200 which they designed for me. It also uses UDP/IP to transmit the digital IF's.<br>
<br>
It would lovely if we could all adopt a single standard.<br>
<br>
We could wind up with lots of interoperable software and if not, at least reusable software pieces.<br>

Also, despite the claim that VRT "...provides interoperability for many<br>
SDR radio applications independent of physical link...", it seems to me<br>
to lack the ID field(s) that we would need if it is to be used over IP.<br>
We would need to wrap our own frame around it. Not really a problem I<br>
don't suppose.<br>
