"A solid state High power HF linear amplifier
built on COMMUNICATION CONCEPTS board type EN-27A by MOTOROLA .
The
amplifier uses 2 BJT transistors MRF-454 matched pair by
MOTOROLA.
Amplifier is built with the best components and the bias circuit
had been modernized
to employ modern devices instead of the hard to get
round 723 regulator.
Temperature tracking of bias is employed and the
circuit is very stable at all power levels.
5 W in puts 140 W out on a 50
ohm dummy load at 13.6 V .
The current is about 23A.
Idling current can
be adjusted with a variable resistor on board to meet class AB
of
operation. A full description will be included with the unit.
Tested
and performing great for an easy installation with your needs.
The bias
circuit can be switched on/off externally to allow stand-by/receive
option.
Teflon coax in/high power Teflon coax out with phono type
connectors (male)
All Mounted on a heavy duty heatsink to allow good and
reliable operation."
