Hi,

I am not sure if I understand you guys but what I think is a DDC in VHF/UHF.
I am not talking about a HF SDR with analogic downconverters (as GNURadio).

Now some hams are using HF SDR with analogic downconverters, for example 144/28. What I said is to go VHF directly with DDC, NO analogic downconverter used.

73, Maximo - EA1DDO

From: ct1izu@sapo.pt
To: hpsdr@openhpsdr.org
Date: Sun, 5 Sep 2010 22:27:30 +0100
Subject: Re: [hpsdr] New HPSDR card for VHF/UHF ?

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

Getting a front end to deal with EU contest levels on 144/432 can be quite a challenge.
One thought is PENNY style card with a 14 bit AD9739 tx which is then used as a LO in the rx period
to drive a level 17 diode mixer like a SYM18H. Mixer output would be routed to Mercury card.
A nice use of a SYM18h is here http://ra3wdk.qrz.ru/tech.htm
G0RUZ and CT1DMK are also looking at ideas here http://g0ruz.com/new/?page_id=57
