I had a Softrock and built a little amplifier for it to drive a speaker. I am putting together a HPSDR right now and<br>haven't gotten my Mercury card yet but I suspect it will need a little amplification to drive a speaker.<br><br>I am thinking about building a speaker amplifier on a card that will plug into the Atlas backplane. I will have a couple of empty slots. I will<br>use one of the Ten-Tec Model 1550 Utility Audio Amplifiers. I will include a volume control on the card.<br><br>I have just ordered a Pinocchio card as an possible foundation to build the amplifier on. I will only install the lower connector and cut off the<br>top of the board with the other connector. Hi all,<br><br>I am thinking to install a external speaker for the audio.
