Hi Maximo,<BR><BR>I have similar thoughts. I had a Softrock and built a little
amplifier for it to drive a speaker. I am putting together a HPSDR right now
and<BR>haven't gotten my Mercury card yet but I suspect it will need a little
amplification to drive a speaker.<BR><BR>I am thinking about building a
speaker amplifier on a card that will plug into the Atlas backplane. I will
have a couple of empty slots. I will<BR>use one of the Ten-Tec Model 1550
Utility Audio Amplifiers. I will include a volume control on the
card.<BR><BR>I have just ordered a Pinocchio card as an possible foundation to
build the amplifier on. I will only install the lower connector and cut off
the<BR>top of the board with the other connector. I will have to either
insulate my components from the traces on the board or cut them (except
for<BR>+12v and ground) at the bottom connector.<BR><BR>I wish someone would
come out with a blank board with only a connector so we could build circuits
to plug into HPSDR.<BR><BR>Let me know if you find enough power out of Mercury
