<html><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:times new roman, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div style="RIGHT: auto">hi All,</div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">A couple days ago I started the process of adding another Mercury card and updating software. The first thing I did was install ver 1.19 as Joe suggested before installing the diversity Power SDR. That seemed to work very well but sometimes I would have to cycle power a few times to get things going. HPSDR is connected directly to the computer. </div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">Last night I loaded Metis 1.3 but I had to load it through the boot loader. Also an earlier version of the programming software seemed to work differently. Both versions I had to start and close the program a number of times to get it to detect the connection. The earlier programming software seemed better at detecting the Metis interface but it would not erase and program. The boot loader was the only way I could get it installed.</div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">I also updated the Mercury boards to Joe's 6.4. </div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">Pulled JP1 on Metis and tried to run the system. No matter what I did no program would start. All power leds lit on metis Top LED flashing at 1 Hz and bottom led at 2 Hz. D14 was one flash then 2 flashes so maybe 1/2 duplex??. I can read IP 162.254.19.33 and MAC 00 09 46 13 21 in boot loader mode.</div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">I cleaned out the computer and reloaded still nothing. Then I reloaded metis 1.0 and 2.9 in mercury. Still dead with ver 1.16 and 1.19 P SDR. </div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">I always wear my ESD strap and it is very humid. A bit warm in the shack but not hot. The Ethernet cable removed from metis plugged into the network works fine.</div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">The programmer works fine once I get the interface working.</div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">I'm walking away from it for a couple days. </div>
<div style="RIGHT: auto">Any suggestions welcome. Something seem unstable.<VAR id=yui-ie-cursor></VAR> frank</div>
