Joe,
Thanks for the info. However, by re-reading (at least four or five
times) Appendix A in the Metis user guide
I wiggled my way though it.
I found an error in Appendix A. The last paragraph on page 16 leads one
to believe
that you click the 'Program' button while still in the "Program
Tab". However, if you go back to the "Metis boot loader" Tab
and
click "Program" button all goes well. At least it appeared to,
where as I got nothing otherwise.

And, I was able to load the Mercury
and Penelope Firmware as well, after getting Metis back in order.

Now,
HOWEVER, I'm still having trouble with getting "Power SDR" to load.
Which I've not been able to do at all yet.
I do not think that an attached
file will go through the reflector, so if it's all right with you, I'd like to
sent it to you direct.
That is a snip of the Fatal Error that pops up
during the opening of PowerSDR.

I do appreciate your help. All
you smart guys that actually have a brain makes me jealous. I'm 68 now
but I'm
still plugging away. HI

73, Bill, wf4r

Sep 26,

Bill,

Not to worry!

You should be able to recover (I think) by
running HPSDRProgrammer in
Metis Bootloader mode. To do this:

1)
install JP1 on Metis
2) power up Atlas
3) run HPSDRProgrammer (v1.4
works for me on this)
4) select "Metis Bootloader"
5) with "Browse"
navigate to the Metis_v1.5.rbf file and select
("Open") it
6) select
"Program"

that, hopefully, will get you up and running again. If not,
maybe
someone can straighten me out on that.

73, Joe
