Hi all.

Maybe a stupid suggestion / idea:

If I understand this problem a little, the only problem seems to be
about some I/O-pins having different functions on Gerd's Mercury-EU
card?
How many pins are we talking about?

If not too many pins are involved, wouldn't it be smarter to do a
(simple?) hardware modification / re-arrangement of these
pins/functions to solve this "incompatibility" once and for all?

Sorry if I have this wrong.....
Hi Maximo,

If you will be willing to test the firmware for me I will
obtain the source code from Phil and attempt to make a Quartus
II project to compile it with the Mercury-EU FPGA pin
assignments. It shouldn't be absolutely necessary for you to
send me the board; it would be easier certainly if I had the
board here to test with but it isn't strictly necessary, as long
as you don't mind doing the sometimes tedious testing for me
and reporting back to me if there are issues so that I can try
various "fixes" for whatever problems show up.

Understood.
We, Mercury-EU users, need a file but none of the core
developers has a Mercury-EU to develop it.
I have a Mercury-EU, the only one I have (plus Metis),
but I can lend my Mercury-EU to any core developer who
wants to try on it the "missing file".
So, please, any developer who wants to develop that
file in a Mercury-EU card, just drop me an email with
your address, and I´ll send to you my card.
Hopefully, I´ll get my card back and all Mercury_EU

Thank you
