You need only plug the Alex ribbon cable into the Mercury board to use the Alexiares filter boards, whether you are using a Magister (USB) or Metis (ethernet) controller board. </div><div><br></div><div>If you wish to know the details about how the information is passed from the PC via Magister or Metis to Mercury for control of the Alex filter boards, those details can be found in the Command & Control byte descriptions of the HPSDR USB protocol document.
