One feature already used is Port Mirroring. It allows cloning packets from selected ports over to another port. This allows having an independent computer running Wireshark sniff the traffic from any (or all) of the other ports. In my setup there's a Linux box and a Hermes connected to the switch, and a Windows box with Wireshark on another port capturing the traffic between the two. Already found and killed one bug.</SPAN></div>

It was described as being full
duplex. However, when I connect my Ethernet line, computer and Hermes to the switch, there is no communication between the Hermes and computer. The bottom line is that the switch is no better than a hub. (BTW, communication is fine if I connect the Hermes directly to the Ethernet port on the computer.)
