<DIV>All,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>There are new versions of Metis (V2.3) and Hermes (V2.1) available on the
openHPSDR.org \Downloads page. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>For Hermes this increases the number of receivers from four to five when
using Hermann’s cuSDR software. There is also a new feature relating
to Transverter use which will be explained once the associated PC code is
ready.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>For both Hermes and Metis you can now set/remove a fixed IP address
without needing to place a jumper on the board in order to put it into
Bootloader mode. Use HPSDRProgrammer in Bootloader mode to
set/remove the IP address as before but ignore the need to place a jumper
first. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>There will be a new version of HPSDR Programmer available shortly that
will include this feature. In fact we are going to split HPSDRProgrammer into
two programs – one for setting an IP address and updating code and the other
a ‘Recovery’ mode that will provide the current Bootloader
functions.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>My thanks to Joe, K5SO, for his work on the FPGA code and the Beta
testers for their patience whilst we tracked down a rather elusive bug in the
IP code. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Best wishes to all for a happy and prosperous New Year – from a
SDR perspective it looks like we are in for a lot of fun!</DIV>
