<div class="moz-cite-prefix">Excellent Tim,<br>
I have both Hermes and the eb104.ru BPF board in the ANAN-10
enclosure. <br>
I replaced the backplate of the enclosure with 2 aluminium strips
bolted to the 2 sides to hold the boards firmly in place.<br>
<br>
The full case is a 2-piece affair, the bottom and front holds the
ANAN-10 enclosure and the ANAN-10 front panel is bolted to the
front.<br>

The top and back half of the full case - top with the 300W
PA/LPF and the large heatsink and back with fan, power supply
inputs and antenna connector.<br>

<style>body{font-size:10pt;font-family:arial,sans-serif;background-color:#ffffff;color:black;}p{margin:0px;}</style>I
like to build amps and have done several now for our SDR rigs,
Hermes and HPSDR.<br>
They include Hercules(2), Munin, and now Eb104 design from Victor
and his crew at Eb104.Ru.<br>
Hercules and Munin are well know to group but you may not have
seen much about the amps from Victor, UA3QLC.<br>
<div>They offer amp kits or assembled pallets from 10-900W and LPF
to go along with these amps. Additionally they offer a BPF board
the same size as Hermes.</div>
<div>I chose the 500mW to 300W pre-assembled board with LPF's and
the BPF board.</div>
<div>The way I set it up with Hermes is to control BPF board
(mounted in matching Hammond enclosure) from J16 on Hermes let
BPF board control LBP's and amp.</div>
<div>From HPSDR I could control direct from db25 on Penny and use
rx filters in Alex and LPF in amp, however since I had cables
already made up I used their BPF's for HPSDR also.</div>
<div>Note more on cabling later. </div>
<div>The filter controls are set with external control output's
for RX and TX per Victors requirements.</div>
<div>Using the BPF board it takes care of selecting correct
outputs for LPF's on amp and provides attenuation on RX when
TXing. </div>
<div>One could use Alex and use db25 direct to amp using different
settings for RX and TX, have not tried this but it should work
FB.</div>
<div>Bottom line is I have Hermes or HPSDR driving 300W amp with
300mW and have received great reports form the few qso's so far.</div>
<div>I need to drag service monitor into shack (major clean up
needed first) to check the harmonic content however the results
from others on their forum look favorable.</div>
<div>One requirement for their amps is 50V supply, this helps with
harmonics, I picked up a nearly new 50V- 50A telcom supply off
slee bay for a very reasonable price.</div>
<div>The amp only requires 15- 20A when used at 300W. </div>
<div>Later this week I will post more pictures on my Flickr Page, <a

<div>Cabling:</div>
<div>My goal was to use IDC cables to keep cabling as simple as
possible. </div>
<div>This led to mounting the BPF's in matching enclosure, this
allowed a short IDC cable from Hermes to BPF enclosure where I
broke out signals needed to BPF and captured signals needed for
amp. From BPF to amp is another IDC cable. Later this week you
will see this on Flickr.</div>
