Hi Arseniy <br>
<br>
Thank i keep it in my note ,for first version will try to keep
current ADC /DAC and Codec <br>
reason was quite simple i lac the VHDL/Verilog Skill for try to
redo FPGA code Myself<br>
so before go this way will wait to have first version out <br>
and see if it have interest on software guy side for that version
and for got step ahead<br>
<br>
this will also permit to check Board Performance whit new supply
design before next version<br>
<br>
but a ADS42LB69 chip may really nice and even a 300MSP for 144
band ;-)<br>
for have work in the past whit AD9628 the bus interface was DDR that
great and dual ADC Chip hat simplify clock chain<br>
and seem that ADS42LB69 / AD9467 share this feature to ..<br>
<br>

Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****<br>
<br>
Hi All<br>
<br>
i planing to make new version of hermes and relase it under
open source license<br>
that include Schematic ,PCB and Gerber<br>
<br>
that not intended to be a copy of the current design but
improved version whit many change<br>
and naturally put it back on open source community ,and of
course fit my own radio need ;-)<br>
<br>
for now that list of change ..<br>
<br>
Hermes "Phenix"<br>
<br>
1-) swap FPGA for BGA and bigger Version for better routing
of high speed signal<br>
2-) add another LPC2208 ADC (still to determined for that
revision what to avoid to play to much on FPGA )<br>
3-) redo power supply section and power distribution use
OKI DC-DC + local TI Hight PRSS LDO<br>
4-) rempace 10mhz OSC circuit by Copermicus GPS module or
FGPMMOPA6H + MNEA and 1PPS to FPGA for time<br>
5-) add bufferised 122.88Mhz clock for DEMI xverter LO<br>
6-) isolate some input / output ( probably all)<br>
7-) metal can for RF analog section , one for TX one for RX<br>
8-) ADC in LVDS or cmos soft selectable ,LVDS = less noise
since balenced and matche lenght<br>
9-) redo micrel PHY section from scratch whit newer PHY chip
and bigger Volt isolation Jack<br>
10-) bufered 10MHZ ouptut for Kuhne Xverter or sililar use<br>
11-) swap 0805 part for 0603 and QFN for some IC (DAC
better routing )<br>
12-) max 6 layer board 100% hand routed<br>
13-) may remove the audio section for simplify not yet sure
for this one ..<br>
<br>
for now 40% of schematic was done and planing to complete
it in next 10 day<br>
take bit long since i work whit PDF Hermes schematic and i
find many error on it to ..<br>
<br>
next week-end will try to find place were put file<br>
<br>
bit about myself ,Marc Lalonde VE2-OLM was hamradio since
1992 whit advence license ,<br>
was Senior IPC Certified PCB Designer whit > 20 year
experience in high speed circuit<br>
i own and operate Alphatronique Inc. that a Design house
whit in house SMT Automated Assembly line<br>
for last 10 year most of my job was as subcontractor
Design/Assembly for GE Smart Grid<br>
have absolutely no interest to start a radio company since
my current position was FUN ,RELAX , and LUCRATIVE<br>
so what to keep it as is<br>
<br>
so if some one have suggestion of feature to implement it
time before i close shematic<br>
