thanks for replay,
The windows 7 is a completely fresh install, not much other
software then powersdr that
could interference.
I also have been playing around a bit at the bios-setup, that has
all kinds of setting for the cpu.
I did slowdown the cpu by lowering the 'cpu ratio setting', also
lowering the numbers of cpu cores.
Enabling/disabling: Throttling, HT setting, speedstep, c-state
etc. whatever they mean,
but no change.
For now I'm pretty much running out of possible things to try.
I guess my system is like good wine, that has to age a bit.
Hi Bert,

Since you mentioned a "windows code writer", and I am one of
them, I thought I'd comment. The bottom line is that I don't
know what is causing this problem. It does sound like it's
latency related in some way. I thought Bill's question about
the mouse was a good one; unfortunately, it's not clear that's
the problem. I recall seeing posts in the past about how
running a latency monitor resolved some problem. However, I
don't believe it was this same problem.

There is a different way that we can handle the software threads
in the PowerSDR application to ask for better control of
priority from the operating system. However, moving to that
will require NOT supporting XP any longer. So, we're been
waiting a little longer to go that way. I can't say whether
that would help in this situation or not.
