<div dir="ltr">The best, and most paranoid way, to do this is to get another hard drive, clone your existing drive, install the clone and ensure it boots and works, then update the clone to Win10. That way if it does result in an unlucky, Win10 train-wreck of an update you can simply swap back to your original drive. <p>I finally gave in last weekend to the MS nags to upgrade to
Win10. After the upgrade and on starting PowerSDR, I could not
establish a connection between the dedicated Ethernet card (2nd
card) on the PC and Metis. <br>

<p>After a bit of poking around, it turned out MS had kindly changed
the IP address in the config for that Ethernet card. On putting
it back to the correct address, all was well again. I haven't had
a chance to use the system much but will try and exercise it this
weekend. The rest of my SDR configuration seems to be intact and
survived the upgrade. Just beware of potential naughtiness on the
part of MS if you do upgrade.<br>

<div dir="ltr">Tuesday night MS hijacked my machine and
downloaded windows 10 when I walked out of the shack
for a while. Power SDR sounded bad when they gave it
back and DPC doesn't play on win 10. </div>

Dell last night and now everything is happy. </div>
<div dir="ltr">I think it actually works a little
better. XPS8700, I7, 12g of Ram. </div>
