For calibration I use the little Elecraft XG1 which puts out
50uV or 1uV on 7040KHz - handy for a good S9 reference. Looks
like their latest offering is the XG3 which seems to have more
capabilities than my earlier unit and is more expensive but
might be worth looking at.<br>

The default level calibration on PowerSDR mRX PS is for the
openHPSDR/ANAN hardware. However, there is a calibration function
(see the Setup/General/Calibration tab) which should allow you to
calibrate for the Red Pitaya. Once calibrated, it should be very
accurate. The calibration process is straightforward as long as
you have a signal source of a known amplitude.

I also want to point out that if you are doing things like MDS
measurements, there are some special features that allow you to do
accurate noise measurements. These are spectrum analyzer type
features not included in many radio consoles. To read about that,
