I'm attempting to use the Penelope J6 Open Collectors to control
band selection on the LPF board of an external homebrew amplifier.

I've configured the matrix in PowerSDR with the desired pin-to-band
settings; the settings for RX and TX are identical.

On my external LPF hardware I have an indication via an LED of which
bank of filters is selected. For RX all looks well - the correct
LED lights up as I change bands via PowerSDR so this suggests the J6
pin utilization is correct and my wiring from Penelope outward is
OK.

When in TX mode (either via the Tune button or via the MOX button)
none of the LEDs are lit so I end up with no filter selected.

I've measured the voltage at the various pins (the relays on the LPF
board are driven by 12V) and for a given pin, when not enabled, I
see 12V and when enabled (in RX mode), I see approx 9V. For the
same pin in TX mode the voltage does not change and remains at 12V
suggesting the pin is not being enabled by the software perhaps.

Note:
1) the LPF does not know or care if the mode is RX or TX so there
is nothing else at play on that hardware that might be different in
TX mode.
2) Since this is an LPF that is only in use during TX, I don't
really need to select a given filter on RX but obviously need this
selection to be made on TX.

Has anyone got experience using the J6 pins on TX and can confirm
they work and agree with the settings in PowerSDR? On looking at
the Penelope documentation I noted that there does not appear to be
any restriction on using the pins for both TX and RX - it just says
to check the boxes in both parts of the matrix. Is there perhaps
another setting I missed that enabled J6 for TX?
Various versions are shown below (yes, probably time I upgraded to
something newer)
