<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Ingolf, it would be helpful to understand what you are trying to accomplish.</div><div><br></div><div>OpenHPSDR V1 and V2 both use broadcasts to find target devices on the local subnet via port 1024.</div><div>Such broadcasts are not routed (as George previously indicated), the various HPSDR application programs</div><div>will not find an openhpsdr device on a different subnet. <br></div><div><br></div><div>In order to have a remote device be found, a VPN is generally used to extend the local subnet tunneled</div><div>through the internet to a remote location which then would have that same subnet address range. Various</div><div>VPN protocols have emerged in the last few years to make that a bit easier than it used to be. With a</div><div>VPN your home internet router passes the VPN protocol, it does not see the raw broadcast frames or</div><div>port numbers as those are inside the VPN tunnel. IIRC (and at 71 that’s suspect) the protocol was not intended to be routed.<br>
