[hpsdr] Mini-circuits DAT series digital attenuators

I wonder if anyone has had any experience (good or bad) with the
Mini-circuits DAT series digital attenuators.
Here are a couple representative datasheets from the series:

http://www.minicircuits.com/DAT-31-SP.pdf (serial interface)
They can be had with either a series or parallel interface an dup to
31.5 dB (in 1 dB steps) attenuation. The data sheet claims an IP3 of +52
dBm.
I'm looking at these for the Phoenix RX front end.
