Nope! Just go to the Wiki and follow the threads. Ray is REALLY keeping this
Wiki up to date, with links and other fun thoughts. He is already 'off
board' with balanced inputs to Janus! This is the way to go. I was just
offering to Google balanced drivers to Janus.

Is anyone else on this list missing the original message to which the below
is a reply? I seem to have missed several on the Phoenix threads, at least,
for some reason.

Ray

Thanks for keeping this all INTERESTING. I'm a googler.. What
characteristics are you looking for in this part? Gain? Slew rate? 2nd or
3rd distortion? I can search with the best of em! Name your spec, and design
the ISD! Is there a method of posting on the wiki to allow 'hot spots' for
pop-ups for the components like "current isd"?

I've just added a sample schematic to the Phoenix Wiki page (
http://hpsdr.org/wiki/index.php?title=PHOENIX ) that illustrates a possible
balanced driver that could be utilized to feed the IQ signals from the ISD
to the Janus balanced inputs. (The schematic immediately follows the second
block diagram). An LT1994 chip is illustrated. There may be better parts to
utilize in this position. The schematic illustrates just the Q channel. An
identical configuration would be present for the I channel.
