[hpsdr] AK5394A Availability ??

I guess a lot has to do with whether the Janus and Ozy project leaders
(especially Janus) feel we need a second alpha test now that these boards
have been tested. On Teamspeak last Friday, I polled Phil_H about this, and
he did not feel a second alpha would be needed for the minor modifications
discussed for Janus. In that event, and if we are dealing with 8 week
leadtime, we need to order very soon, so we don't end up being delayed by
parts. 

 

TAPR will be handling these Projects, so will have to rely on their
experience on lead times.

With all the great progress on the design of the JANUS board and the
reported great performance I haven't heard much of late on the availability
of the fabled AK5394A A/D chip. Has anyone had any feedback from the chip
suppliers that the earlier apparent shortage of parts has loosened up? Just
curious :-)
