[hpsdr] Pick two: cheap ship-it-now quality

Guys!

Obviously we don't want 600 non-functional boards, and need to make sure
it's right before committing. If we take the risk, and produce a 'bum'
board, then I'll probably purchase all of em for $.50 on the $1.00 and sell
em for SMT practice, in ovens, hair dryers, hot plates etc. From recent
comments there are a lot of folks who would like to attempt it (including
myself). Probably NOT with an Ozy!!!!

The time is coming near to making some decisions along these lines, and I
will suggest a Teamspeak discussion with the project leaders and key
production folks on these 2 boards. It really is for they to decide. If TAPR
'upfronts' the money to produce them, gone are the days where Lyle or I can
say "If it doesn't work, you still bought it". Although I bet I could make
that fly again! They have all worked with changes from alpha to production.
(smile)

As long as it is 12 days, but a second round beta even if we have the parts
on hand, will make for more than 12 days delay.

I LOVE Ahti! He would buy a bum unit and hot wire it! Hey Ahti! When you
'jumpin in' as a project leader?

All in HPSDR spirit and with some 'tongue in cheek'! We'll get there!

Eric

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

For the SDR-1000 owners, it isn't as if we don't already have sound
cards. I am as excited about getting my Ozy and Janus as the next guy
but take our time and get it right.

Bob
