Marv Frerking at Collins Cedar Rapids did some of the first work on the 
micro controlled TCXO in the early to mid eighties, that I am aware of.

With a GPS receiver and a temperature sensor it should be possible to 
eventually self calibrate the reference.  Measure the temperature, 
control voltage during GPS lock at that temperature build a data base 
and fit to the data when lock is lost.  At least it sounds easy enough 
for me to code.

If anyone else missed the phase noise plots, I would be happy to email a 
word or excel file of them to anyone interested.
