Given the range of people here and the reasons why they are involved in
this wonderful hobby (and their available budget and varying degrees of
confidence in construction), a range of options, if practicable, would
seem sensible. My personal preference is to solder my own, and
therefore would be happy so long as one of the purchase options for each
module includes a bare board. However, if a design happened to call for
a BGA or even LFCSP chip then my confidence would reduce to around nil,
and I would be truly grateful for a pre-mounted/tested option for this
sort of part at least. I'm looking at the resistor array set for Ozy
with a degree of nervousness, but at least go/nogo testing for these
requires only a multimeter.
