Cecil, Larry, et al,

Or you can use ubuntu 6.06 with absolutely no hassle. Right click on the link , save as, it appears on the Desktop (or any other picked location) as a miniaturized icon of the screenshot. Left double click on the icon, opens the screenshot to its original size with Eye of Gnome.

You can blame the problem (in this case Windows) or you can get rid of the problem. Simple enough :>)

I use windows for PowerSDR, playing wmv videofiles and two raster scan drawing display programs for Government drawings. I don't think I will be able to ever use Linux for the drawing display program but I have high hopes that the need for PowerSDR and the wmv file player will soon disappear.

Cecil,

For the P Harmans screen shot

I got "Imaging for Windows" a Kodak thingie to work.

For C Day's photo

I got adobe "Photo Shop" to work.

For C Day's screen shot finally found that MS "Word Pad" opened it.

Then I read the sentence above the URL which said "WordPad"!

So some of the stuff makes sense. Maybe the poster should state what
program was used to send the photo, diagram, document, etc.

Frank Zappa: "Its not getting any smarter out there. You have to come
to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you."

I'm going out to the shop and see if I can figure out which end of the
iron gets hot. HV tests today on a Drake L-7 amplifier. Exciting!
