[hpsdr] - top-posting considered harmful

Please excuse this administrative interlude:

(1) Can we *please* get rid of this information-free header:

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

The [hpsdr] in the subject ought to be sufficient for any mail
filtering program.

(2) Can we try to limit the amount of "top-posting"? I'm all for a
bit of context, but full copies of four or five messages seems a bit
over the top and makes separating the wheat from the chaff more
difficult.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top-posting

Top-posting means replying to a message above the original
message. This may be a message in an Internet forum, an e-mail message
or a Usenet post. Top-posting is considered improper by many
definitions of Internet etiquette since it breaks down the flow of the
    thread:

Because it messes up the flow of reading.

We now return to our regularly scheduled discussion of hpsdr...

Thanks!
